The Reve Film Festival

The Reve Film Festival is a fan project celebrating the 10th anniversary of the K-pop girl group Red Velvet on August 1st, 2024. This is a theoretical event where fans could gather in a theater for a screening of their music videos throughout their career. The event offered a gift set, a package containing a photo book, a special anniversary EP, photocards and other memorabilia. Teasers for the event would be released on social media as well as song snippets from the special anniversary EP. Each song is inspired by different genres of film to go along with the theme of the event.

La Vie En Rose

“Seeing through rose colored lenses” was the phrase that inspired me for this project. It’s a quote I try to use as my own mantra. The text of this book, my journal. I contemplate what the phrase means to me and my current state of mind as I tell the story behind taking these photos on my film camera. I imagine this book as a continuation, and “happier little sister”, of “what is home?” book from a year prior.
